ASPARAGUS PINWHEELS
Asparagus Recipe Ingredients:
1 loaf white or wheat bread
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp. Kraft pimento cheese spread
1/2 tsp. each garlic & onion powder
1 can asparagus spears
1/2 stick margarine, melted
Asparagus Recipe Cooking:
Slice crust off bread and using rolling pin, flatten each slice of bread. Mix together cream cheese, pimento spread, garlic and onion powder. Spread on each slice of bread. Place 1 asparagus spear on each slice of bread and roll up jelly roll style. Place on waxed paper and wrap tightly. Wrap aluminum foil around wax paper and chill in refrigerator overnight. When ready to serve, place on cookie sheet, brush melted margarine over each roll, slice into 5 pieces and lay flat. Broil for 5 minutes or until bread brown.
